We've been worried because A's eating has really leveled off (he's not eating anymore than he did about a month ago.) We took him to his follow-up GI appt. In a nutshell:
-His average weight gain per day is much less, but, she said at about 3 months (or in his case 2 months, I guess) this is normal, and he's still on the 10 percentile curve, which is great news. (For some reason we thought last time he was 50%, but he wasn't, he was 10%, oops, lol)
-He weights 11 lb 10 oz
-We were concerned he had several really bad days and we were concerned about dehydration - she said she agreed he wasn't making "hydration minimums" those days, but, just to keep an eye on it. He hadn't had that problem since he came home. She said hopefully he'll adjust to sleeping more, the medicine, the nanny, etc. and he'll have less of those days.
So I guess all in all, it's good.
Oh, and he's consistently sleeping 7.5-9 hours at night. Win! He's going to bed between 8 and 9 pm!
Re: dr. appt - A update
Well, it's good that the docs think he's doing well!
I'm sure it's difficult during the day-in-day-out to tell if he's thriving but it sounds like he's doing just fine Hopefully, he'll start eating more/better so dehydration is no longer a concern!
I'm glad that you got a good report and some reassurance from your doctor. Sounds like A is doing just fine! He better keep up the good work!
Sara
Wow - hopefully he keeps sleeping so well!?
I hope his eating gets better, if only to assuage your worries (since it sounds like he's doing well for the most part). ?You are such a great mom!
Thanks for the update. ?I love reading about how the little guy is doing! ?
