All Free & Clear detergent but what dryer sheet?

So I took the recommendation of some bumpies on here and purchased All Free & Clear laundry detergent. What kind of softner (if any) can I use? What about dryer sheets. I'm 36 weeks and starting to panic that I haven't washed any of my baby boy's clothes yet or packed my hospital bags! TIA

any dryer sheets are fine...i use what's cheap. It's liquid fab. softener that you don't want to use. Can affect flame retardant quality of clothes, sheets.

most people dont rec dryer sheets b/c they reduce the flame retardance (sp?) of Baby's clothing. But its ok to use Bounce Free if you want to still use a dryer sheet. Even the Bounce Free says to not use on infant clothing that is flame retardant, but thats what I will be using...

They actually make free and clear dryer sheets as well. I found them yesterday at Target but held off on buying them to see if I could find them cheaper elsewhere. I want to say they were about $4 a box? But they are out there!

Right now I just use the dryer balls, but plan on getting the bounce free dryer sheets soon since the balls don't do much for static.

Dryer sheets "are the worst thing you can do to your skin" according to the Derm.

A little dramatic, but I get the point.

bounce makes a free and clear dryer sheet. or you could get dryer balls.

I use the Bounce Free- no smells or anything. My MW recommended them (along with the All Free and Clear) so I started washing everything about 2-3 weeks before I was due so that all of our clothes would be ok.

We use vinegar for FS and dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. We are cloth diapering and the sheets are a big no-no for CD (they cause them to repel liquids).

I use a free and clear liquid fabric softener in the wash because we have a HE washer and dryer. We aren't supposed to use any dryer sheets because the residue from the sheets forms a coating on the dryer sensors and reduces the efficeincy of the sensor.

I did not, however, know that it reduces flame retardency. I do not use fabric softener on towels because it does coat the fibers and make them less absorbent, so I guess I could see how that would make sense re: fflame retardency.

I use bounce free dryer sheets. I had no luck with the dryer balls.

I use the balls and I find they actually work really well - for me they have way cut down on static. There may be SLIGHTLY more than with dryer sheets, but not much. And you dont' have to keep buying them!

It depends - if you're worried about LO's skin, you might not want to use dryer sheets at all. My DS has bad eczema and we wash everyone's clothes in a free and clear detergent and don't use dryer sheets.
