Sam variations for a girl

My husband's late grandfather's name was Samuel which was supposed to be the middle name if we were having a boy.  We were delighted to find out last week that we are having a girl!!!  Now we need to come up with a name.  DH and I are not huge fans of Samantha.  We love Sam and Sammy for a girl, but we feel she needs a full name.  Please help with Sam variations for a girl with a middle name Jane!!!! Here's what I have so far: (thoughts?)

Samona Jane

Samlyn Jane (not sure of spelling maybe Samlynn)

Samona is OK.  I don't like Samlyn.  But I do think Samantha Jane is beautiful together.  If you don't plan on using her full name & want to call her Sammy or Sam anyway is it that big of a deal to use a classic name like Samantha?

Samara.  If we have a little girl this will be her name.  I have loved it for years and it just keeps better in my opinion.

Saleema is an Arabic name that the nn Sam works with. It means "Healthy, protected". Salma is another, meaning "beautiful woman" .

Out of all the ones people have mentioned I like Samara.  It isnt too bad.  Alot of those names you might have trouble with pronunciation.  Even though I normally like unique names, in this situation, if you are going to call her Sam, I would name her Samantha.

Samona is not bad. I do not like Samlyn at all. Samara is very nice and so is Samira. I would choose Samantha, though and call her Sam.

See DD"s name, but I would have gone for Samara, except it's the creepy girl from The Ring. I also liked Samwise for a boy, but DH nixed it.
