Babies: 0 - 3 Months

MimyX Cream - anyone using this on LO's skin??

LO has eczema and his pedi prescribed this yesterday.  I was  just wondering if anyone's LO has experience using this and if helped at all.  Thanks!

  • It did nothing for DS. We spent $50 for it because it was non formulary and the stuff never worked. We had better luck with Fluticosone and things like that. Now that he's almost 4, his skin is SOOOOO much better and he rarely has flare ups. I keep him lathered in Aquaphor and Cetaphil cream all the time. It's made a huge difference.

  • Mimyx is not in the same category as Fluticasone. ?Obviously Fluticasone works better because it is a steriod. ?Mimyx is not. ?The whole point of Mimyx is to avoid the over use of topical steriods which if used too much can cause straie and skin thinning. ?That being said Aquaphor is greasy, but honestly is cheaper and just as moisturizing. ?Most people's insurance will have a high co-pay for products like Mimyx.
