No morning sickness

Okay, so when I thougnt I was carrying one baby I was only slightly concerned about the fact that I had really no m/s. ?There were times around 6-8 weeks where I felt like I woudl get sick, but alas I never did. ?Now that I know we have two babies as I read Dr. Luke's book I wonder...am I the only mom to be of twins that wasn't sick. ?I am not complaining about no m/s....I am happy that I never did get sick, but it makes me wonder if anything is wrong. ?We had our u/s this last week and both babies look good and we heard heartbeats...I'm just curious. ?This is also my first pregnnacy so I have no previous experience with a singelton to compare it to. ?What were your experiences? ?TIA

Re: No morning sickness

  • I never did either.. I would feel a little queasy if I hadn't had anything to eat around weeks 7 and 8 ish.. but never got sick.  I say count your blessings! :-)  FWIW, I never got sick with my singleton pregnancy either and all three are here and healthy! :-)  Enjoy it!
  • So far no m/s for me either.  I've had food adversions and times where I felt quesy, but never gotten sick.

  • You should thank the Lord. I had horrible m/s until my 2nd tri and lost 10 lbs. I know other MoM that never had any m/s. I depend on your body. I've also heard if your mom didn't have ms then most likely you won't either.?
  • None here, not even queasiness.... no food aversions, cravings or anything, I was very lucky to not have any of the negative symptoms until I had contractions at 26 weeks....

Don't worry, it happens! I'm not too sure how true it is about mothers having symptoms but mine did not have any m/s either!?

  • I haven't had m/s yet, knock on wood, and my Mom didn't either. I was surprised when I found out I had twins and I was not sick. I think it all depends on the individual.?

  • Thank you all so much!! ?I feel so much more normal now. ?I figured it was just the way it was going to be....but being a first timer it started to make me nervous. ?I guess I should count my blessings!! ?My mom did get sick with me, but her m/s was mostly at night. ?Well, I'm glad to know that I;m not the only one with twins and no m/s!!! ?Thank you!!!!! ?You are all so helpful, this board is so much more helpful and friendly compared to my experience on the first tri board!

  • I never had any morning sickness and this is my first pregnancy too. Even my Dr. was kinda suprised when I told him I hadn't been sick at all at my 12week appoinment. The boys are doing absolutly great - I haven't had any complications so far & they measure big & healthy every time we go in!

I guess we should just consider ourselves lucky :o)

  • Only slightly queasy if I didn't eat frequently enough.  I don't even think it was 'queasy".. more of an "off" feeling.  Never had actual m/s though.
  • I have had no m/s either! Looks like we fell on the lucky side of the coin!
