Hyperovulation diagnosis?

Hello ladies,

 My short time on this board came to an end this week as I miscarried the last of my triplets.  I had my d&c the very next day and am slowly recovering.  My dr. is starting the RPL testing to see if they can come up with some answers.  And if they do not, she has said that they will assume that the reason for the m/c's will be my hyperovulation (which was not medically incuded) and inability of my body to handle multiples.  She has said that if this is the case they will try and see if they can control my ovulation and ensure that I release only 1 egg at a time.  Has anyone ever hear of this??  I have googled and come up with nothing that would answer this very rare situation.  Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

Hi,

I'm so sorry for your loss. My doc also believes that I hyperovulate. I m/c twins before this pg and was also told that my body couldn't carry multiples due to low progesterone levels. Did tell you if you had low prog? I know some Doc have different opinions on this. When I got my BFP the 2nd time I was put on porgest sup from day one until my second tri. I hope they find an answer for you.

Thanks for your reply.  No I was never really told about low progesterone levels....all of that I guess seems to be in the works.  With your second pg did you alse have multiples or a singleton?

I am so sorry. My progesterone levels were really low too. My dr. guessed that I hyperovulate, based on my charting, but there was never any need to confirm it. I hope you get some answers.

My ob believes that I hyperovulate as well.  I have a set of twins that are nine years old and another set due in November. Sorry for your loss.

Hi. sorry its been a crazy day. I had twins again. I found out I was pg at 3 wks and my Doc put me on prog sup from that day on. I hope everything works out. Page me if anything
