How long before the hair grew long enough to actually be heavy enough to start laying down? When I wash A's hair it's like 4inches down her back already but when dry it stays about an inch off her head in little ringlets
No clue! DD's is halfway down her back when wet, and when dry above her shoulders in pretty ringlets too. Well, the back of her hair is REALLY curly, the top is JUST starting to curl.
My hair is really, really curly so I guess I should know what to expect - but dry mine is at my shoulder blades. Wet - WAY longer.
I just want it to stop growing straight UP lol. And since she lost the hair on the sides of her head when really young, the top is about 3 times longer and she looks like Kramer from Seinfield when I let it just be all natural and curly Poor child

LOL! I have really curly hair and so does DD. I was kind of hoping she wouldn't have it because I always wanted straight hair. It's just so much easier and neater looking!
Anyway, I was wondering the same thing. All her hair fell out in the back when she was a newborn from rubbing it on the mattress. Now the sides are long and the back is short. Her hair just sticks up now so I've been putting it in pigtails to keep it tamed. When it's just down it sticks out in every direction and she looks like I never brushed it. I was wondering if I should just let it grow so that the curls get weighed down eventually or if cutting it would help control the craziness
Lauren: Yeah, I have to do pigtails everyday too or it looks a hot mess. Would just be nice to just let it be sometimes. Not that piggies are a big deal...but her hair really is gorgeous......just not maybe at this particular Kramer stage.
