Everything appears to be progressing nicely. The baby's heart beat was 159. Well within the normal range. i was given the ok to take Zantac or the indigestion which seems the main cause of my toilet tango. The nausea has pretty much gone, thank God. However the food aversions are still alive an kicking. Sweets seem to really be the enemy right now. I had Fruity Pebbles the other morning and not long after, there they went. Attempts at Reeses pnb cups were hte same as well as a Tastycake coffeecake. So the only sweets that work for me now are fruit. not that that's a bad thing.....I have lost 2 pounds since my last appointment a month ago. I suppose thas't not bad considering how often I've been sick in the last month. They drew blood this time around and i should have asked, but didn't. What all is the blood for? They took 4 vials 2large and 2 smaller and looked like they all had different codes on them. I figured th eone is for RH factor, although we know we are fine for this. What else do they check with the blood. i wasn't told ahead of time, so I wasn't fasting.
I also wanted to thank those of you who responded to my Nutjob post. I have taken a step back from the boards...well the 1st tri board seemed to be the one that really made me nuts. I still am no the 2nd tri, though that one is just getting annoying. I'm also on the pg after 35....a great bunch of ladies, much like yourselves.. I would recommend that board if you are one of the 30+ on here. I've also been checking out the baby shower board.....my mom and aunt will be having ours in PA and really wanted input on things especially since ours will be a co-ed one and neither of them have done or even heard of a co-ed shower.
Dh is stilling trolling websites and such, relaying info he finds interesting or he thinks I should know, but other than that, I've tried to keep my fact finding to a minimum and seems to have helped. While we'd love to take a babymoon, it pretty much isn't in the financial cards right now, unless the house in PA sells quickly. When you are paying out of pocket for all the appointments and the hospital time, and two house holds, it doesn't leave much for luxuries. Again, ladies...thank you for your kind and supportive words.
Re: 2nd check up
Glad to hear that things are going well, both with the baby's health and yours, especially the morning sickness subsiding. I had a general aversion to food for practially the whole nine months. Fruit, cheeseburgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches were my staples.
Here's the list of what my dr's office tested me for with the big blood draw in the beginning...
Hep B Surface Ag
Rubella Antibody
RPR (syphillis)
CBC/DIFF
And I want to wish you luck in selling your house in PA.
Glad to hear you are doing well!
Anything you need- don't hesitate!!
