  • I have a stainless sink, so I clean the sink with it first and then turn on the disposal and water and dump the reat of the box.  It seems to work well, but I have never noticed a smell in the disposal prior to cleaning it.  Check out Arm & Hammer's website.

  • Yep.  Add some vinegar and it will unclog a drain.
  • I also have slow warm water running down there. I pour the box down (when I replace the one that lives in the fridge) when it expires. I am not wasting it and it does double duty.
  • i cup baking soda and i cup WARM white vinegar...pour the baking soda down the drain and then pour the warm vinegar into it..watch it bubble and then pour a kettle full of boiling h20 downt he drain after it stops bubbling. it will unclog the drain, and deodorize the disposal...in a quick fix, a lemon (but in a few pieces) and a few handfuls of ice will also do the trick..but make sure LO is not asleep...it is LOUD

  • "For sluggish or clogged drains pour 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain. Add 1/2 cup white vinegar and cover the drain if possible.  Let set for a few minutes, Then pour a kettle of 6 or more cups of boiling water down the drain  to flush it. The combination of baking soda and vinegar breaks down fatty acids into soap and glycerin, allowing the clog to wash down the drain.
DO NOT USE THIS METHOD AFTER ANY COMMERCIAL DRAIN OPENER HAS BEEN USED  OR IS STILL PRESENT IN THE STANDING WATER.

This is what JAWMIN posted for me when I asked the same question a couple of days ago.  I'm trying it this weekend.
