Maalox for diaper rash?

I know this has been posted before but I can't find it.  DS diaper rash is terrible and I wanted to try this but not sure how to?  Can someone please explain?  Do you put maalox on first then diaper cream over it?  Is it a specific maalox?  The store only has maalox advanced strength?  TIA

We do equal parts of Maalox, aquaphor, and zinc oxide works wonders !! GL

 

Oh we did walgreens brand maalox i think strawberry flavor MMMM yum LOL!!

We've mixed Maalox and Aquaphor together for diaper rash before (it's a pita to mix well, so be warned). But it works REALLY well. GL!

Our pedi told us to use plain ole Maalox. DH could only find the cherry flavor.... we use a cotton ball to slather it on, skip the diaper rash cream. Works like a charm!

I tried it and used a generic Maalox - make sure not to get a mint flavor. I applied it to her bottom with a cotton ball and let it dry, then did my triple paste and A&D ointment over that.
