We have a 15 year old cat, Kitty Kat. And lately she has had some good days and some not so good days. Yesterday being one of the not so good, I want to be overly needy kind of days. So last night at 4 am she starts making funny noises and we get worried. This begins a domino affect for the other pets. Sandy (my cairn terrier) wants to be in the middle of the action. Sable (our other cat) plops herself down close to the action, leans back, tongue sticking out, and looks like Jabba the Hut. Seriously she is 25 lbs. And Jolie (H's Shih Tzu) is in my lap shaking so hard you would think that she was in the middle of a horror movie and someone was about to come through the door and get her. This went on for about 15 minutes, with H attending to Kitty Kat and me attempting to keep Sandy on the bed and console a terrified Jolie (she does not like loud noises). At the end she had a furball. She is ok. But now I am tired, and laughing at the mayhem that I contended with at 4 am. Sometimes our furbabies make for great stories.
Re: So last night...
Glad to hear that she is okay. It is so cute when the other furbabies come to the rescue of the other and just want to be a part of the mayhem.
When I used to bathe one of my kitties, my other cat (her lover) who is no longer with us used to come barging in the door and start howling because she was. He would start pacing back and forth and jumping up to look at the tub and try to sniff her. It was very touching but it made for a whole lot of noise.
Oh the things we do for our babies.
We're the exact same way with ours. After our puppy got bit last night by neighbors dogs, we were trying to fix him up and the other 2 kept coming up to him and giving him a kiss and then barking at us b/c we had to hold the puppy down and i guess they didn't want us to hurt him. At least our ordeal wasn't at 4 am.
I'm glad your Kitty Kat is feeling better and I hope she continues to have good days.
LOL! What a terrible wake up call!!
Sable is like that. She also purrs so loud we have to turn the tv up to hear it. She can not get on the bed on her own, so when H puts her up there and curls up on his pillow I remind him that he did it to himself.
