1st Trimester

Why does my stomach always feel empty?

I just had a huge supper an hour ago and now my tummy is growling.  It feels like I havent eaten in forever.  I didnt ever feel this way with my 1st pregnancy.

  • I know the feeling. Water seems to help though

  • I have the same feeling, I am always looking for something new to eat even though I just ate!
  • I have this problem too, and it just started.  At the beginning of my pregnancy (not that I'm not still at the beginning, lol), I could choose from about three foods that didn't want to make me throw up.  Just the past couple of days now, my sickness has seemed to subside, which is good, but now it seems like I'm always hungry, and after I take two bites, I'm full....for a half an hour!
  • I feel like I'm constantly starving even though I just ate.  And since I'm still feeling a little nauseous nothing sounds appealing to me.  I don't remember being like this with my 1st pregnancy either.  Hmmm... might have to get a big bowl of cereal soon.
  • Yup.  Belly is ALWAYS growly.  I was just thinking I could snack when I saw this post.  It's worse because I work nights, and people just tend to eat more on night shift.  Water doesn't seem to help me (someone else said it helped them) -- it just makes my belly feel "swirly".  Graham crackers seem to help when I'm at work, anyway.  Let us know what soothes you!  I'm sure we're all open to suggestions.  Smile
