Does anyone know how to fix groundhog damage under the shed?

We have a family of groundhogs living under our shed - 1 mom & 2 juveniles.  They already completely destroyed my garden, and animal control came & put traps & caught the 2 juveniles to release them in a local park.  We're expecting them to come tomorrow to put a trap for the last one.

But now we have who knows how extensive of a burrow underneath the shed.  DH keeps his lawn tractor & a lot of other heavy things in there & I'm afraid there's just nothing underneath the shed now, but I have no clue how we can get soil back under there.  Any ideas?

I would ask animal control about repairing this.  A local farmer might also have an idea.  Here's my best guess, having never had to deal with this particular problem: make mud and wash the mud down the hole with a bunch of water. over time, the mud should fill in the burrow and make the ground more solid.  HOWEVER, this will not help to fill the parts of the burrow that are not downhill from the flow of water.  GL!
