S/O Chicago

After reading the post below, it looks like there are a few us from, or close to, Chicago.  Just wondering who's all in the area.  Would anyone be interested in a GTG?  I know summers are busy, so we could always wait until the fall.  Just curious Big Smile

    I'm in the north part of Chicago!
    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!     I might be able to come...just depends on the way the school year is going in the fall.  Sometimes it's hard to travel then, but I can play it by ear.

    Yeah, I'm glad there's some interest! GTG are always fun, but I think it would especially beneficial to meet other people who are adopting/fostering too. If enough people actually want to travel in maybe we could do an overnight (I have a friend who works for a hotel downtown and can usually get great deals!).

    i'm from chicago!  i'd love to connect with fellow "adoption" ladies!
    After 7 years of marriage and 5 unsuccessful IVFs, we have been granted the gift of adopting a baby boy, born 4/21/11.
