The other part of my debbiedowner day is that I feel like I'm too old to start my family. I am 31. We've been TTC for 3 years now and have had 1 m/c and 1 ectopic.
LOL I feel too that I am tooo old. I will be 31 in Oct, and we have been ttc since november 08, we got PG right away, but lost her @ 22 weeks, due to what the drs call a FREAK of nature. We are going to try again, as soon as AF comes and goes(hopefully quick)
you are not old! Woman have babies in their 40s now. I just look at the stars today, they all seem to be older then I feel better. I think well Julia roberts was in her 40s. I am ok.
I am 34. I started TTC when I was 32.

I'm 27. We weren't really trying when we got our first bfp. We've only been really trying for 4 months. And right now we're avoiding until August...because we're going on vacation in July and don't want to be due in the winter.

I'm 27. Started not preventing last July and got pg right away. Unfortunately she was stillborn at 27 weeks due to a septum in my ute that caused all sorts of issues. Just had my surgery a couple of weeks ago and am waiting four more weeks to check and make sure that everything healed all nicely. Pending that, I can try again around September. So, however many months that is.
I will be 33 next month. DH and I started trying in June 2008.
Oct 2008 m/c #1 5 weeks, May 2009 m/c #2 4w5d. BFP 6/23/09 EDD 3/8/10!

Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011
DH and I are both 37 and will be 38 this fall. I have a 7 year old daughter from my first marriage and a 2 year old with DH. Miscarriage #1 (15 weeks) happened on 5/08, that pregnancy came as a surprise. We started trying in August of 08 for our last pregnancy. After six months of TRYING we decided to let nature take it's course. We got our BFP on 5/1 and that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage last week (11 weeks).?
Although I do agree that many women are putting off having children and waiting until their late 30's and 40's, I personally would not recommend it. If you are in a stable, loving, relationship...as well as financially stable, you are better off having your children sooner than later. I just happened to marry the wrong guy the first time around and stuck it out for ten depressing years. DD#1 was born the last year he and I were together. Had I made a better choice earlier on, I believe I would have been done having kids by now and my youngest would probably be in preschool or kindergarten by now.?
Three beautiful girls!

You are not too old!!! I'm also 31, I've been with DH 10 years, married for 3, he's 28. It's been two years from our e/p, when I lost my left tube. We're just now starting to ttc again.
I'm 28, DH is 38. I tried for 5 years with my previous marriage and DH and I tried for about 5 months before our BFP, and have been another 5 months since our loss.

So far, I appear to be the elder stateswoman of the group. I am 38 and just started TTC 6 months ago. I wish I had started earlier, but I didn't find the right guy until I was 35 and I think having a loving relationship is the most important thing. We got pregnant on our first try, but that ended in miscarriage. You are not even remotely too old to start a family at 31. I may be pushing it. I suspect we will quit trying if we aren't successful within the next year.
I am almost 29/ dh is 31. We weren't trying when we got pg before....but since the m/c we are ttc. This is the 3rd real cycle of trying (4th if you count the one right after m/c that was all messed up!)

I am 33 and I think at a great age to start trying. 30-45 is the regular age for having kids nowadays.
After I tried for 1 yr with no success I confess I thought about age being an issue. I had 3 OBs and 1 RE tell me that I am a baby myself. That up to 40 yrs old they don't see a problem and 40 -45 are still within child bearing age.
You'll all have babies.

I just turned 33 on Sunday. My OB said that 35 is prime baby time nowadays, so don't feel too old at 31 (and those of us older then 31 won't take offense). ;-)
We officially start to TTC next month - pretty much 1 month from today.
I'm 31, DH is 28 and we officially started TTC 11/07 and I got pg in 11/07, ended in m/c. Been trying again ever since, had c/p in Feb 09, so we just keep trying. I don't think 31 is too old. DH and I have been together for 8 years, married for 2 1/2, we wanted to enjoy each other first and have time to travel before bringing children into the picture.
Started TTC in August 2007, 1st BFP March 2008, natural m/c April 11th, 2008. 2nd BFP 1/1/09, diagnosed with possible ectopic 1/16/09, got Methotrexate shot 1/18/09. On Bromocriptine to balance my high prolactin levels (thanks to tiny brain tumor) that messes with my body. Long cycles and unexplained infertility suck monkey balls!
July 09- Clomid 50mg HCG shot TI prog. supps= negative.
August 09- Clomid 50mg HCG shot IUI prog. supps=negative.
September 09- Clomid 50mg HCG shot b2b IUI's prog. supps: negative.
October 09- Clomid 100mg HCG b2b IUI's prog.supps: negative.
November 09- cycle cancelled due to cyst.... IVF is next....
December 09- Beginning of IVF, Lupron, BCP's
Jan-Feb 10- IVF retrieved 6 matured eggs, all fertilized, 2 transferred, 1 lost, 3 frozen= BFP! betas: 8dp5dt (13dpo)= 176, 11dp5dt (16dpo)= 728!
October 2010: Boy/Girl twins born.
Now... trying to get fit!

I am 33 and I think at a great age to start trying. 30-45 is the regular age for having kids nowadays.
