how many months did it take using opk to get a bfp?

I know everyone is different and it can take up to a year, I'm just curious. we had sex 2 days before o and o this month and even though my lp was 3 days longer than usual af showed up

This month we will gtry for every day and see what happens. With my m/c and ds #1 I got pg the first time we timed it right. I guess it was wishful thinking that it might happen again. It's hard to belive you only have a 25% chance each month with good timing!

I used an OPK for both pg's and it worked the 1st try/month each time.

Three for us. I skipped OPKs on the middle cycle, but I was charting through all three as well.

We got our BFP on the 4th month of using OPKs.

I used OPKs on my 2nd cycle trying. I never got a positive OPK on that cycle, but got my BFP a week later, so I must have ovulated, lol.?

It took me 3 tries using a combination of OPKs and BBT tracking. I say tries rather than months because my cycles are usually over 40 days. On my BFP, we had sex three days before ovulation and morning immediately after ovulation was detected via BBT. The previous try we did it every day for nearly 2 weeks before ovulation and nothing.

I'm tempted to think doing right after ovulation is detected is what did it for us, but there's no way to be sure.

9 months using an OPK; first month I charted.  I would strongly suggest getting the book Taking Charge of your Fertility and charting.  It is possible to have an LH surge, but for it not to be enough to release an egg.  The only way you will know for sure if you are ovulating is to chart.

I got pregnant the first cycle post-m/c using opk's = ectopic pregnancy.  Got pregnant again the second cycle using opk's = this pregnancy.

FWIW - it is possible to get a + opk and not ovulate, or ovulate later than expected.  And First Response are terrible for false negatives.  I got at least 2 surges during the last cycle, but didn't ovulate with the first surge.

I think I had been using OPKs for 6 months. But I also had been charting for long time (got pg on 16th cycle TTC)

It took me 10 cycles to get pg, and I used OPKs and charted for 7 of those cycles.  I feel pretty confident that our timing was perfect for at least 6 cycles with no BFP.  It can be discouraging!

We started using the CBEFM in October or November and got pregnant on my April cycle- so like 6-7 months?  My doc thinks one of my tubes is blocked though so that may be why it took us longer.

I bought the opk, planning on using it after my next period.... and it never came... so bought a pregnancy test.... low and behold.... it was a BFP. I still have the opk in the cabinet, still in the wrapping...

We tried for 12 months (14 cycles), I charted for 9 of those cycles, and used OPK's intermittently throughout.  I got my BFP the month I decided to just chart and not use OPK.  As PP said, you can get positives on OPK and not O, so charting is much more reliable.

We used the CBE Monitor and it took us 4 months.  The last time, we had sex every day, the three days before I O'd and the 2 days after.

The first month we used an opk we got pregnant... it helped though b/c i ovulated later in the month than we had been trying and we wanted to make sure i was even ovulating yet as I had been on BC off and on for the last several years.. good luck!
