AW: She decided today was the day to potty train!

I am still in total shock. Today my 2.8 yr old DD decided she no longer wanted to wear diapers and wanted to go on the potty today. So of course I followed her lead. ONE ACCIDENT ALL DAY! that's it! She peed on the potty 5 times which we thought was so freakin cool. Then, she went off on her own, came back and told us she pooped on the potty and boy did she ever. I am so proud of her. I had her in underwear all day. My plan was to try to do it next weekend during the long weekend but she beat me to it! I am now a true believer in them just knowing when it's time.

One question....how long after you started potty training did your DC wear a diaper to bed at night and during naps? Do I just keep her in them until she starts waking up dry?

That's great!  As for your question, mine is still in diapers at nighttime.  He stays dry during nap at daycare and did today, but still wets at night.  I plan to use the 2 diapers I have left, then the pull-ups I have, and see where we are then.
