Baby Names

how many syllables?

We need a cute and feminine mn for Claire. Our last name sounds like like Carmen...any thoughts? I am not even pregnant yet, I just love thinking of names and I recently fell in love with the name Claire but I dont have a mn in mind...

TIA!

Re: how many syllables?

  • I love flower names, especially since you want something cute and your other daughter has the mn Rose. I think Claire Violet would be adorable.

  • Claire was my girl's name last time; I don't think I'm using it this time b/c it's too popular for me, but I still love the name. Anyway:

    Claire Allison

    Claire Evangeline

    Claire Eleanor

    Claire Ellen

    Claire Patriica

    Claire Elise

    Claire Elizabeth

    Claire Anne

  • Claire Evangeline came to mind first.

    Claire Josephine

    Claire Liliana

    Claire Monique

    Claire Isabella

  • Are you going for a common name or are you wanting something a little unusual.  Claire is very common.

  • I don't think of Claire as that common. Check the SSA list for your state if you're interested.

I like Claire Elise, Claire Fiona, Claire Victoria, Claire Noelle, Claire Juliette, Claire Alexandra, Claire Amelia, Claire Louise, Claire Elisabeth

I really love Claire. It's popular, but not overly. Claire Violet is a great suggestion! Love it.
