Anything new that you'd like to share? New appt? Did you find out the sexes?
*Today?s Question*
What are you most looking forward to about parenting twins?
Re: MoMs to Be Friday Check-In
I'm also looking forward to watching the bond between them. My first pregnancy miscarried so part of me thinks that my twins are so close that they really wanted to arrive together!
I had two NSTs, an AFI, and an internal this week. I learned that the babies are doing well, are both vertex, I am having frequent contrations, and my cervix is made of cement.
Neither head has dropped and my OB is starting to talk about going to 39 weeks, if necessary, to let one drop naturally.
We also unwillingly found out the gender of one who is an exhibitionist.
The thing that I am most looking forward to today about being a parent is not being pregnant. Kidding, sort of, I am excited for the moment that they become aware of each other.
At my level 2 u/s yesterday we found out that the amniotic fluid level is low. I'm very worried, but hoping for the best. They're going to keep a closer eye on me while I am on stricter bedrest - lying on my side all the time w/ bathroom priveledges and trying to drink my weight in water daily.
I can't see the question either, but I'm guessing it's something about what I'm looking forward once they're born...I'm looking forward to bonding with them and seeing them interact together.
I have identical twins on my side of the family that I am very close too. I have really enjoyed watching their bond with one another and yet seeing their distinguishing characteristics that make them different.
I am really looking foward to seeing the same in my own twins - the similarities and differences. These are my first children so; I feel blessed to have the opportunity to watch two children grow simultaneously.
Now if I could just find out the sex!!!! Going back on Monday - hoping to find out then.
At 10 weeks, there's not much new other than getting used to the idea of twins!
Can't see the question, but it looks like it's about what we're looking forward to. I'm excited that each of my kids will have 3 siblings to love and share memories with. As crazy as I know it will be, it will also be the most amazing blessing just like our 2 boys already are! I can't wait for them to go to the summer camp where my hubby and I met, and a house even more full of laughter than it is now
Our list has gotten so long that the question is being cut off at the bottom. Here's how I see it. Highlight the text where its says "Today's question" and move your mouse down. It will scroll down so you can see it.
Maybe someone else can explain it better than I can....
My appt. went well this week. Cervix is long at 3.7 aand closed. Babies look good. I'm still on bedrest and spent the week crafting up things for the nursery.
I look forward to watching my husband father our babies. I've wanted to see him do that for so long and it took us so long to get here. I can't wait to hold them and feel their little breath-aaah I just can't wait to love them,
Great NST & fluid check today.
I look forward to KJ getting a chance to be a big brother, DH and I are both the oldest and there is just something special about it. I also look forward to meeting my little ones (finding out their sexes of course) and watching their little personalities develop. It has been a blast watching KJ develop into a little person (he is my mini-me) I can't wait to see what the twins' personalities are like.
Thanks for adding me!
I have nothing new going on, really. I am personally trying to take it very easy (as a way to avoid bedrest since BH get pretty strong when I move too much) and I'm trying to eat healthier, which is turning in out to be a major challenge.
For the QOTD: I think I'm most looking forward to seeing their relationship develop as siblings. My brother and I are 4 years apart, so I think it will be interesting to see the way siblings that are just minutes apart will relate to each other!
New for me: Went to our first Labor & Birth class. It was a little hard to relate as everyone else is so much farther along and that's what the class is geared towards, but the dr. recommended I go early. DH is sure that I'll end up with a c-section so decided not to take the relaxation practices very seriously, even though I tried to explain the higher possibility of me going into labor. Did a tour of the birthing and post-partum rooms at the hospital. That made reality sink in that these babies will come out some day, and increased my anxiety level. Debating if I should look into if tours of the NICU are done (which I could understand if they are not)...but I'm afraid that will just get me more nervous and might stick with my ignorance is bliss policy.
? of the day: I'm looking forward to seeing how they will interact with each other, and if they form a team when they are around other kids. And not to sound like a brat, but after washing and putting away seven loads of rummage sale clothes, I'm also looking forward to dressing them up. I seem to be getting more excited about their arrival each day and wish we could fast forward a few months.
*Siggy Warning*
About me 2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
A few new symptoms over the last few days: horrible heartburn and more than "normal" discharge (I hate that word)
I know this is my last pregnancy. I want to treasure the moment but, part of me wants to fast forward until they're here so I don't worry so much. But, my job of worrying will never end :-)
I look forward to the whole family being together. I look forward to seeing who they look like. I look forward to knowing their personalities and peculiarities. I look forward to seeing DH interact with them as well as big brother and sister. Starting to get really excited!
Good question. I enjoyed reading all the posts.
Went to my 28 wk appt yesterday. Got so p!ssed, they didnt have me scheduled to do the gd test even though they told me I was going to do it. I ended up having go to the lab upstairs at the hospital. The dr came in did the doppler and tried to be funny and told me that we were having 4 babies cause everywhere he put the doppler the hb was the same 150. I am measuring fine and the babies were constantly moving for him.
I go back in 2 wks for a growth scan and hopefully they will be able to tell us the other gender.
QOTD. I am just excited to just be a mom. Before we had our son we had a loss and now we get to add twins. I am nervous about how our son will handle the new babies but we have been trying to get him to understand he gets to play with 2 babies.
Hungrier than ever before!! Crazy huge appetite recently!
As for the Q, I am most looking forward to just giving life to these miracles. To be able to mommy them as best I can. And for my DH to daddy them as best he can. We've prayed for /waited for our babies for what seems like so long, so it is so exciting to think about once they are here!! I have always been very close (best friends) with my older sister (only 3 yrs. older than me) and I'm hoping our twin girls will form that same special bond, especially being the same age and all! We just can't wait to be a bigger family!!
We go monday for a check up and growth scan, hoping everything is still looking good. I had crazy heartburn a few nights ago for the first time and I thought I was dying, and here I thought the reflux was bad, thankfully, Tums are my best friend again. Cankles have popped back up, joy, gotta love jiggling feet and I officially have an outtie belly button, I wondered how long it was going to take for it to happen.
QOTD: I am looking most forward to when the babies notice each other and begin interacting with each other. I'm also looking forward to seeing DH with them, I know he's worried about the newborn stage when they are so little and are not awake much, but seeing him all excited for the day they start smiling and laughing, excites me.
We go for our first OB appointment with a "normal" OB rather than my IVF specialist on Friday. We were discharged last Monday and it is killing me to have to wait so long in between visits. I love being monitored so closely...it is kind of strange.
QOTD: I am just looking forward to holding them and seeing DH hold them. We have waited so long and have had so many upsets that it seemed like it would never happen. It is finally starting to seem real, good news at every appointment, and DH seems to be getting excited a little more each day. I can't even contain my excitement!
