The stroller we had our eye on was on deep discount at amazon.com last night, so we went ahead and bought it. It's so surreal to know we're going to have actual baby stuff in our house.

I'm afraid to reveal my choices. There is so much conflicting information out there, I'm waiting for someone to tell me I just bought the most dangerous piece of baby gear on the market!

I understand this....just make sure it was not recalled and then stop worrying about it.  I loved starting to shop.  We bought her furniture on a lark one day and then realized we have a whole bedroom full of furniture and no baby in sight.  But then shortly later...she arrived.  Fingers crossed that you end up needing it all sooner rather than later.

LOL! We got a Graco Metrolite Stroller. It got good user reviews on the sites I looked at. Of course, as soon as we hit the "checkout" button, i saw an e-mail from a friend saying it was crap safety-wise. Lovely.

Let the flaming commence!

The metrolite is great -- don't worry.    It handles really well.

We got the heavier version (the quattro tour) and like it too -- my DH just liked the gadgets on the quattro better *insert eye roll here*.  

And don't worry about revealing your choices -- everything has to pass the same safety standards.  Different people will like different things.  Some like a taller stroller, some like lighter, some want it to fold up small, etc.  As long as it hasn't been recalled you're fine!  And in my personal opinion, Graco infant seats are some of the best out there, so you can get one to work with your metrolite.

I get fun butterflies in my stomach each time i peek into the nursery and see the crib set up. :-)
