Question on when to potty train??

I was going to start next weekend but we are planning on going to NY to visit friends for a week.  Should I wait until after our trip or doesn't it really matter. We leave July 14.

    Personally, I would wait. We didn't leave the house for the 1st three days of PTing and then stuck super close to home for the next week.

    It's a few weeks, but I think I might wait, just to be safe because the change in routine, location, availability of a bathroom (if you are out for the day) could lead to some setbacks.

    I would wait too.  Diapers = freedom.  I never realized the true extent of this until we started potty training.
