Strange Blog Commenter

There is a person that comments on my blog quite frequently. Norman J. Teedletoffer (sp?). I have no clue on Earth who this person is and neither does Abe.

 

I feel like I should send an email, asking him to identify himself and how he might know us.

 

It just creeps me out a little because he comments so often and I don't have a clue who he is!

Are you sure it isn't someone else posting as a name that s/he thinks is related to an ancient joke? 

Have you tried the name on whitepages.com or social networking sites?

See, I totally thought it was Abe's uncle. We BOTH did because he's goofy like that. I still think it's someone we know that's joking around with us. We have a lot of silly friends/family members that would think it's funny.

 

Which, it is. His comments are always entertaining. Just weird.

How do I go about doing this and what type of info will it give me?

 

I can't click on his name to email him or anything. I was thinking about emailing WordPress to get his email but wonder if it's even a requirement in order to post a comment. I'm sure I could change the settings so they'd have to do that but I don't want to run him off before I find out who he is

click on dashboard

then click on comments on your main dashboard page and it should bring up a list of all the comments people have made on your blog

and underneath their name, it will have their ip address

go to this website

https://whatismyipaddress.com/

and put it in the trace box, it should tell you their server, city and state
