My SIL said she was told no (I forget by who...) My sister said she has given them to her DS because Gerber sells purees mixed with strawberries so she assumed it was okay and hasn't had any problems.
Yes. My pedi said that the no longer advise to wait on allergenic foods because it has now been shown that early exposure doesn't make a difference. The only food restriction DD is on is no honey or peanut butter (botulism and choking)
We were told by our pedi to wait until 1 yr because of allergies, but we have been giving yogurt with strawberries, and some Gerber purees with strawberries mixed with other fruits.
Yeah we have, similar to you sister. They also make strawberry/apple puffs that DS loves. I think actual chopped strawberries would be a little too tough for DS right now. I know many books though that say to hold off with strawberries until after 1 year.

I will probably wait a little while for DS b/c I had mild reactions to it when I was a baby - just a rash. ?It's a shame, though, b/c strawberries are one of my favorite fruits and I'd love to be able to give them to DS when I eat them! ?

My pedi said that in all his years of practice (he is 65ish) he has only seen 2 kids with strawberry allergies (and in the past there were no worries about it). Different pedis say different things.
Re: Can babies eat strawberries?
I have always given them to him. He eats them like it's his last meal!
Our pedi said that they're fine as long as you feed organic strawberries.
Granted, he said that no one should be eating non-organic strawberries because of the obscene amounts of pesticides they use on them.
Here's a link about the pesticides:

A majority of the strawberries purchased in any grocery store are from California.
