So the other night DH was in the phone with his dad and called me "whats-her-name". The a few minuted ago he cced me on an email. He spelled my name wrong!

One time we were at the IL's house and DH was petting the dog and talking baby talk to her and he accidentally called her the nickname he calls me!

next time you are on the phone and he is near, make it obvious you are talking about him and call him "what's his face"

not cool mr. nikki! but kind of funny.

 

pretty sure my FIL doesn't know how to pronounce my name. he calls me a short version of my name and sometimes i feel like he's giving me the "hey........you." the whole name thing is awkward with my ILs. i call them mr. and mrs. never ever have they said hey just call us by our first names. nope. nothing. awkwardness continues.

I honestly don't call my ILs anything. They said call them whatever I want, but I have successfully avoided having to address them by anything for 8 years now.
