Ectopic pregnancy ???s

Yesterday, a good friend found out she's pregnant and the dr thinks its a tubal pregnancy.  One dr thinks its a normal pregnancy but she should find out today.

Anyway...I'm her only (physically) close friend and I am going to be there for her but...I'm unsure of the processes that take place if this is in fact a tubal pregnancy.  Can someone enlighten me?

She also said she had an ovarian cyst that ruptured.  She's not talking much about it so I don't want to pry...I just want to be there for her.

As long as the tube doesn't rupture, I'm pretty sure that they can give her a drug or a shot of something to terminate the pregnancy. I'm not positive on that though. I had a tubal that ruptured (the docs missed it) and it required major surgery to remove what was left of the tube.

if its caught early enough they will give her a drug that will dissolve the embryo.  If its too late or the tube has rupture she will need surgery.

I hope its caught early....I had a ruptured ectopic with internal bleeding....it was not fun at all!

Yeah...its def. early.  She hasn't even missed her period yet but she never spots or cramps and she's been spotting and cramping pretty badly.
