When dd was just a few days old my bff came over to visit her. A few days later she called to tell me her dh might have MRSA so I might want to call our pedi to check about dd.

I had my first official mommy breakdown after that phone call.

i bet! you can be a MRSA carrier and not spread it from what i understand.  when we found out that my bro and his wife are both carriers a month or so ago, i FLIPPED and the pedi said it was nothing to worry about unless charlie was running a super high fever.

We just had this happen my SIL has it and didnt know but was over playing with DD, call me a worrier but we brought her in. Shes fine but still i had a mini heartattack knowing that, even though its anywhere and we know it lol.

Yes, DH called the nurses line immediately but no seemed too worried about it. DD never showed signs of problems, thank goodness!

When I was 5 months PG my roommate(DH BFF) was admitted to the hospital with MRSA. I freaked out and called my doc and she was not happy about it. My mom and sister came over with gallons of bleach and scrubbed my house top to bottom.... I went to the pool. Sad to say he had to move out.

When DD was born DH called him to tell him she was born and he was back in the hospital with MRSA.

Wow I'm glad I'm not the only one this has happened too, at the time I felt it was my fault for putting dd at risk by not screening people better. I'm also glad I'm not alone in the freaking out aspect!
