portable bathtub for travel

Does anyone know if anyone sells a bathtub (possibly inflatable) that you can pack in a suitcase to bring with you when you travel? I'm wondering if there is something compact that I can buy or if I should just buy an inexpensive baby bathtub when I get there (we are flying). I tried giving him a bath in the tub without the baby bath tub the other night and he didn't like it and it was a lot more difficult than with the tub. We're going to be out of town for a week and I've been giving him a bath every night to get him ready for bed. Suggestions?

  • How about just purchasing one of the foam inserts?
  • I don't know about a portable bathtub, but where will you be staying? at a hotel or someone's house? When my LO was younger, and we stayed at people's homes we'd give her a bath in the kitchen sink.
  • I found a bunch just by google searching inflatable bath tub. I was thinking of buying one for our trip this summer too. I don't know how old your LO is, but the ones I found say they are for either infants able to sit up unassisted or 6 mo. and up. DS is will be 5 mo when we travel so I might just try it. There is a really cute ducky one.
  • Ducky tub was good with DS, and when you squeeze the beak, it quacks.  He LOVED it!  I'm excited to use it with DD.
  • One of you wrap a hotel towel around her waist (for grip) and get in the shower while holding her. Have the other parent help wash and rinse her while standing outside of the shower adn then pass off DC to that parent when done.

That's what we always did when she was younger and we traveled.
