Um, Reston is pretty nice.  IT jobs are plentiful.  You've already got a ton of friends in the area...

I don't need to go into the benefits of living here, because, clearly, you know, but we've found a fantastic balance of urban, suburban and child-friendly here...

Re: **SBDC

  • Co, in a heartbeat. ?Definitely. ?I'd love to move back. ?One of my best friends lives on a lake in Reston and it is one of my favorite places ever. ?
  • DH is top security clearance, so we'll be here forever.  We are far from our forever home, but alas, I am 29, so in no hurry.  I love everything about where we live, though...we walk to the farmer's market every thursday, we buy fresh bread from our bakery, I walk to do the bulk of our grocery shopping, but, I can drive to target/gym/trader joe's/whole foods in under 10 minutes.

Love it.  Oh, and our town has Friday and Saturday night free concerts on the town green during the summer...that we can walk to.  :)

I spent last week in Brentwood.  And loved it.  But, renting a 1800 sq ft. house for $4k a month; needing to pay $1.5M to buy it, and THEN remodel the whole thing...definitely loving NoVA!

  • Exactly--what you're describing about Brentwood? That's our life. ?It sucks financially. ?

What you're describing about Reston? ?Perfection, IMO. ?And I'm almost 38, so I'm ready to be settled down already!?
