how old is too old

for a paci?  Sammy stopped taking one around 5 months; he just didn't want anything to do with it any more.  Maliyah can't sleep without it, and if I let her, she'd have it in her mouth all the time.  I want to allow it only at naps/night time around a year; DH thinks this is too soon (she's still a baby, blah blah blah).  Opinions?

i am not sure but DD still uses her quite a bit! i figure i'll tackle it in the next couple months

I want to say we'll wean her by the time she's 10-11is months but I might let it go for naps until she 14-15 months....

DD ditched it on her own but I would say that after a year is too old to use it in public at least.  But again DD ditched it on her own around 6 months so I can't really say for sure what I would do.
