garanimals sizing? small or large?

I'm ordering something on etsy made with a garanimals shirt... do they run kind of small or big or true to size?  DD can easily wear 12 month Carters and this is a 12 month garanimals... wondering if we can pull it off.

    I think they are true to size with Carter's running a bit big.  Carter's seem so big and large but shrink some in the wash but are still a bit bit.

    I thought they ran a little large.  DD was able to wear the Garanimals NB size after she'd moved on to Carter's 0 to 3.

    ETA: But they were hand me downs, so for all I know, the NB label meant 0 to 3 for that brand.

    I think they run huge. DS just outgrew a Garanimals 3-6... he is in 12 months for pretty much everything else right now! In Carters he is in a 9 month.
