Nuby cup question (don't shoot me)

I know there are many posta about sippy cup recs and Nuby seems to be the most popular.  But, I can't find WHICH Nuby was the one talked about!  I was looking on their website but wanted to know if you guys could tell me which name you got (like right now I have the Playtex SIPSTER).

TIA!

(oh, I liked the Sipster for the first couple weeks)

Re: Nuby cup question (don't shoot me)

  • My Nubys didn't come with another name...just sippy cup. They come in 3 pieces - the cup, the handle ring that goes over the top of the cup, and the silicon spout that fits into the handle ring. The spout is very soft and is clear plastic. HTH

NUBY SIPPY CUPS  come in assorted styles and colors.  The number one selling Nuby cup is the Nuby Sippy Gripper Cup shown below.  This cup is an easy grip cup with a non-drip drinking spout.  It is no-spill, has no valve, and you can turn it upside down and all around and it just won't drip.  You can buy this now by clicking the picture below.

I got that from Nuby's website.

I also have the cup the pp mentioned, with the handles, but my DD hardly uses it.  I really like the Gripper ones.  Don't get the sport ones, that have the flippy lid that hides the straw...they leak because if your DC sucks the liquid past the valve, but doesn't take it in their mouth and swallow, it spills everywhere out of the top of the straw.

    HTH!

  • We're fans of the straw sippy. I pull out the valve.
  • I have the 2 handled straw cup.
  • to clarify, I don't use the straw ones at all - she gets confused and tries to tip it back to drink, then all the liquid goes to the top and nothing comes out. Also as PP said, the milk gets trapped above the line in the straw and spills out everywhere.
  • the sippy gripper one works REALLY well for older babies.

the other nuby (the one with the handles) is really good for younger babies- we still occassionally use that one if the others are dirty- and we leave one in the car as a backup.

    but the gripper one rocks.
