What do you think of the name? its the only one that DH and I agree on but some of the older people in my family think its weird. Thoughts please! Oh and mn suggestions are welcome.[Poll]

I have a bad association with the name Jackson thanks to a horrible little boy that used to live by me.  Also, it's one of those last names turned first names that I'm just not a huge fan of.

Ditto.  I'm over the last name trend.  And for the love of all that is holy - please do not spell it Jaxon!

I Love the name Jackson, I was going to name my son that. But we were going to spell it Jaxon. But my mother-in-law threw a fit because her dead ex-husbands name was Jack and it reminder her to much of him. wtf ever!

I like Jack better. They're both used a lot now, but Jack is little more classic and Jackson is kind of a trend IMO.

I had Jaxon picked out as my top boy name until the incresed popularity killed. I still like the name but it is so trendy now.

DS is Jackson.  I admit that it's trendy, and it's become more popular than I might've liked or anticipated, but I still love it.

My DH is convinced that Jack is a pirate name (Thanks Captain Jack Sparrow!) or I would be pushing hard for Jackson with the nn Jack.

I love Jackson!  It's on our list, although DH isn't so sure about it.  In general, I'm not a fan of trendy names.  But, I like Jackson because he can always go by Jack, which is very classic.  I don't like Jack as a stand alone name, though, because it sounds like a nn.

I love it but it's insanely popular here.  I know 3 little Jacksons and I don't even know many kids!

I guess I don't like the names that are ___son, like Jackson to me is Jack's son. So who is Jack? Is that your DH's name? Just sort of rubs me wrong.

I like Jack though.

I liked it the first 10,000 times I heard it. Now it just seems too trendy.

First off, I don't like -son names. It sounds too last namey to me and I don't like the president trend. Also, i'm SO over this name. I honestly feel like it's the male version of Madison. Very trendy and will date the person who bears this name. I love Jack though. Timeless and classic.?

My SIL is pregnant and is naming the baby Jackson.  It's nms, but it could be worse.

that was our boy name, but we were going to spell it Jaxon and call him Jax, we actually did call my belly Jax until we found out it was a girl! haha

I prefer John with the nickname Jack.  But I don't hate Jackson or think it's weird at all!

LOVE it. If my baby is a boy, we'll name him Jackson. DH's family won't be happy, but LO will. (The alternative is "Alvin" ... yuck!)
