This has been asked a bunch of times before and the consensus is no. They seem to generally come around the same as the first within a week or so either side. They do however come quicker...on this board some have come a LOT quicker!
Mine did not....however, by 32 wks. I was contracting regularly and had dilated and effaced 50% and went on bedrest until 37 wks. I made it to my 39 wk. scheduled repeat C Section. (DS was also born at 39 wks....induction that ended in a C Section). So, it wasn't the case for me even though I started progressing way early.
I went into labor with DS at exactly 38 weeks. Here I am a few days past that and no signs of labor. I mean, I do get contractions but they always go away. I did not think I would make it to my 39 week c-sec, but it looks like we will.
Re: Do 2nd babies really come earlier?
Yeah, everyone keeps telling me that, too. And not just earlier- but faster and easier!
I feel like it's such a joke. And a mean one at that. I'll be the one to get my hopes up and be crying on here at 42 weeks pregnant with #2.

ditto.
Not for me.

Mine did!
DS was forced out at 40w1d (with no signs of exiting any time soon, but I had GD).
DD came 6 days EARLY without any intervention whatsoever.
