I recently learned that children's shoes are not made with arches at all. My ds is extremely flat footed as well and we had to go to the podiatrist to get him some inserts for his shoes. Also, Stride-Rite stores will put an arch support in any kid's shoes that you buy for them and it costs $13.99. It's the exact same thing that the podiatrist gave us for ds's shoes but much cheaper.

That's good to know - DD has flat feet and I am kind of concerned about them.
My son just turned 2 but I guess his flat feet are causing his ankles to roll inward so that he walks on the inside of his feet. He sees a PT tomorrow so I'll see what he says.
Re: Good shoes for toddler with very flat feet?
I'll have to look these up! thanks!
