Good shoes for toddler with very flat feet?

Any suggestions?  DS has no arch at all in his fat little feet.

Re: Good shoes for toddler with very flat feet?

  • I don't know about arches, but my DD has very wide and fat feet.  I love her pedoodles.  They seem really wide and she walks very well in them.
  • I recently learned that children's shoes are not made with arches at all. My ds is extremely flat footed as well and we had to go to the podiatrist to get him some inserts for his shoes. Also, Stride-Rite stores will put an arch support in any kid's shoes that you buy for them and it costs $13.99. It's the exact same thing that the podiatrist gave us for ds's shoes but much cheaper.

I'll have to look these up!  thanks!

That's good to know - DD has flat feet and I am kind of concerned about them.

  • My son just turned 2 but I guess his flat feet are causing his ankles to roll inward so that he walks on the inside of his feet.  He sees a PT tomorrow so I'll see what he says.
