Did you get the "hamburger buns picture" or just the "we don't see any boy bits" picture? Because apparently, the second can be either sex (I had a friend in college whose "yay it's a daughter!" turned out upon delivery to be "well, I wish I hadn't washed all that pink clothing"), but the first is a pretty sure sign.
I'll cross my fingers you don't get any massive surprises.

Now go into labor already!
Oh it was most definitely hamburger buns. I saw it right away, and then the u/s tech said something about rarely it being so obvious when it's a girl. Of course, that was 21 weeks ago...
No big deal either way, other than the damn pink stripes we slaved over in the nursery.
For what it's worth, I wasn't 100% convinced that Paige was a girl until she was delivered and they told me she was a girl. And even then, I still wanted to see the bit-parts myself.
And, with her, it was clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was a girl. The ultrasound tech took at peek at every ultrasound (we had about a zillion), and we definitely saw girl parts.
I remember having the exact same sudden feeling a few days before she was born... and feeling like we'd better take the name-book to the hospital just in case!! :-)
I'm pretty sure that now that I've told you all her name, we are definitely going to get a surprise at the delivery. I even told Shawn that last night (yes, I told him that I told you and no, he wasn't surprised).
This is a long story but we've all got time right...
At our birth class last night they handed us like 30 cards with different things that could happen with your labor and the oppoosite thing was written on the flip side of the card. So one side would say "no epidural" and the other side would say "epidural" and you were supposed to lay all the cards out to show what would be your ideal birth experience. One card had Girl/Boy. Then we had to pick 5 cards that we'd be willing to give up and turn them over to show the opposite of what we wanted. Some were easy like, ok, I don't care if I give up having music played during labor but some were really hard to give up like I really don't want them to use forceps or whatever. You get the point. They kept making us turn over cards that we had laid out. By the end the point was to get down to the things that really, really mattered to you so that you could be happy even if labor ended up very different than you expected. (I don't think I explained that well, but it was an amazing exercise to do.)
Point being, I had the hardest time giving up the girl card. But I didn't get a hamburger bun picture
We had a spreadsheet of names that we both kinda liked (dorky, I know but that's how I do things) but I think I got rid of the boy tab after we found out we were having a girl. At the time it seemed like a good thing to do...
Re: Sudden weird feeling (no, not labor)
Ya never know...I was told I was having a boy and a girl lol.

I appreciate the labor vibes, Krista!!

Shauna, that is a super cool exercise! What a neat birth class. I wish I had done something like that.
Do you guys have boy names at all?
