See Kai Run for pre-walker?

I need to buy a pair of shoes for DS#2 (I'm sick of the comments "Where are your shoes?" from people).

He is starting to learn to walk and will walk a bit while holding one of our hands.

I remember with the Pedipeds, the leather was so slick that he's slip on the wood floors and carpet.  Not that he wore them much inside, but still.

Would the rubber bottom ones be okay for a pre-walker?  He can't wear the Smaller line.  His feet are already a 5.5.

  • I'd do it.  They're so flexible compared to other shoes I've looked at for prewalkers.
  • My son wore SKR for about 5 months before he learned to walk.

  • I wouldn't do SKR for pre-walkers because the leather isn't tough enough to withstand crawling. The tops of the shoes would be ruined in a few days of crawling, or at least that's what would have happened w/ DD.

  • I LOVE See Kai Run...my daughter wore them as a pre-walker and I still buy them today. She's now 2.

Ditto. The toes were scuffed to hell after a couple of days. Once he started walking, the shoes stayed perfect. We used pedipeds without issues when he wasn't walking.
