WOW! An August baby already born! I'm glad she is doing ok. Do we have any more details?
I am seriously uncomfortable. I have a really bad pain when I walk or move in my pubic area. I'm hobbling around the place!!!! Other than that I'm not too bad and baby is kicking away.

I haven't had my shower yet- it's at the end of the month but I do need to still buy the crib and dresser.
So far I have a highchair, stroller, backpack carrier and cloth diapers.?
I'm doing pretty good. I feel like an old lady when I get up in the morning, but after that things are good. Today's the my last day of work until January( I work in school and then mat. leave!)
My shower is next weekend, the 27th. I've received a few things from coworkers so I have a start. There is still quite a few things I need to get, but it looks like a lot of it has been bought (registry stalking). I do need to buy a glider and a few other things for the nursery though.
Happy Hump Day! We still need quite a bit for our LO. First shower was this past weekend & we did get a lot of baby goodies there. I have another one in 4 weeks so we're going to wait & see what else we need to get after that. We have plenty of clothes I think, we need our big ticket items like the travel system, pack & play, etc. I am also very pleased to know that we will most likely not have to buy any newborn size diapers. We got a couple packs at the shower & my aunt made a diaper cake with mostly newborn sizes in it.
Pregnancy wise, I'm doing okay. It's getting more difficult everyday to get up for work, but I don't have too much longer. The third tri mester is definitely starting to catch up with me as far as being super tired again & i'm so sore. I also seemed to have developed pregnancy induced carpal tunnel :-( My hands hurt so bad!!!!

Well I am doing ok and cannot believe that I am 31 weeks today. I am so happy. I am having my shower on June 28th and then I will be better able to assess what other items we need. I had 90 people nvited but only 70 are attending. It is a big graduation weekend but I have already gotten several gifts in the mail. I have a work shower on Friday, so exciting.
I am not putting a TV in LO's room. The LO will have TV available in the den, music will be available in her room. I have our Lamaze class on Saturday, Yeah!!
Good morning ladies! I'm doing well but I grew so much in the past few weeks that I'm starting to get really uncomfortable and having difficulty moving around. 7 more weeks to go!
Actually, I am pretty good with baby stuff. I had my first shower 2 weeks ago and people were incredibly generous. My second shower is this Sunday and due to my registry stalking there are very few things I need. I feel very lucky.
My shower (friends/family) is the last weekend of the month. We've already got most of what we actually need (crib, mattress, dresser, travel system, donated left over diapers, wipes, donated clothes). There's still a lot of things left on the registry, but we could probably get by without most of it. So why is it on the registry you ask? Good question. Because people seem to want to buy first time moms lots of things, and they like to be told what those things are.
We can't believe how generous people have been, it's overwhelming, really. After the shower, we'll see if there is even anything left to buy. I'm also having 2 work showers (insanity, I know) because I worked in different places, and the crowds don't mix, so they want them separate. I'm going to be a disaster at all of them as I thank people for their support.
No shower yet _ it's supposed to be a surprise (although I know it's coming, I don't know the where and when, exactly... suspecting sometime in July)...
Really all that's left is the "going home from the hospital" outfit. :-)
Can't believe I am at 30 weeks already. Time seems to be flying by. I had my shower this past weekend and was spoiled rotten. We still need a baby monitor, mattress, and a breast pump, and dresser as our big ticket items. Lucky us we received a lot of gift cards and cash so we should be set for those purchases. In the next two weeks we plan to move our office and start painting the nursery and getting everything set up. Our house is getting taken over by baby things so I really want to get the nursery ready so I can start storing things away.
As for TV - defnintly not.
Since this is baby #2 for us (in under 2 years) I am not having a shower. We have all the big stuff and pertty much just need clothes for the little man (#1 is a girl and i don't think he'd appreciate seeing pictures of himself in pink clothes in the future
).
My next appt is June 25, then one more 2 weeker before my weekly appts start. Yikes! This is coming up fast!!! Everything is going well with the pregnancy....just starting to get really uncomfortable, but it comes with the territory, right?
I hope everyone is doing well. If you have any more details about the 1st Aug baby that was born, please post. I am glad to hear that both are doing well.
All of you super-prepared ladies are making me feel a little anxious - granted my due date is at the end of the month, but we *only* have our crib and it's not even set up yet! I just feel like I need school to be over (1 more week!) so I can focus a bit...)
My mom is throwing me a shower which is supposed to be a surprise, but I know about it - it's July 18th so about a month from now. Maybe we will actually have gotten the nursery somewhat ready by then, seeing as right now it's basically a 2nd bedroom/storage area for all sorts of junk.

I had my shower last weekend. I got so much stuff, I can't beleive how generous everyone was. We still need to get a carseat base for DH's car. Other than that, it's just a lot of little things. We got so many onsies at the shower, but no one gave us pants/shorts/skirts to go with them, so we need to get some of that. We also need a place to store all the bottle parts when they're clean and waiting to be filled up again. I also want to pick up a monitor. I have a list of other things, but those are the most important.
I'm getting nervous about having everything ready since at my shower they did some game where everyone guessed when they thought I'd go into labor, and EVERYONE guessed earlier than my EDD. I know it means nothing, but now that thought is in my head.

I can't believe how close we are all getting! Less than 9 wks for me- wow!
As for showers, since we moved to Japan when I was 17wks, I was blessed to have my showers before we left. I had 3- one with mom's friends, one with DH's friends and fam, and 1 with my friends/co-workers. We got just about everything we needed. And to top it off, I'm having another one w/ friends I've met here on base in Japan- wow! The only big things we have left to get are the monitor and breast pump. I'm sure after the last shower we will have everything we need for our little love bug.?
As for a tv, no, there will not be one in her nursery. There is a CD player/radio in there and that's it. We only have 1 tv- it's downstairs in our living room. Babies don't need tv, and if I want to watch it while nursing or something, I'll go down there.?

We still have to buy just about everything at this point. But I have a shower next weekend and then another one on July 19th. So hopefully we wont have too much to get after all that!
Monday QOTD: We had planned to put an extra tv we had in LO's room, mostly for DH and I, but DD broke her tv, so she will be getting the extra for now. I like her to watch her movies and such in her own room sometimes, although she doesn't use it often.
Wednesday QOTD: I still need to buy a pump, nursing bras, and other "supplies" for bf-ing. Otherwise, we really have everything we need, and I just found out work is throwing me a shower next month.
Had an OB appt yesterday, and everything is going well. I was a tad concerned that LO had dropped already, as he was feeling very low, but come to find out this is normal in 2nd+ pregnancies. Anyone else notice this? I sometimes feel pressure on my pelvic bone, and I am only 31 wks.
Its amazing to hear that someone due in August has already had a healthy baby! I hope everything continues to go well
Good morning....counting down the days until my summer vacation officially starts!
The only things we have left to do are to go to BRU and buy the rest of the things we think we need off of the registry...we need more clothes for sure, and things like the monitor, gate, swing, bottles, etc... Plus I have to finish organizing everything baby-oriented in the house, and start washing the clothes, blankets and towels that we have already. I started putting the diaper bag together last night....and I need to pack the bag for the hospital!
My first shower is this weekend, and I have two more in July..... so I have a lot left to get! But, the way things are flying off my registry, I'm not sure I'm going to have to buy much at all.
I'm off work for the summer, so I have a mile long to-do list of things to get ready for the baby.
We have the "big" stuff - crib, changer, car seat, and stroller. We also were given a large bag of hand-me-down clothes. I am sure we will get a ton of clothes at the shower, but if not, she is already pretty well set! Our shower is this Saturday so after that we will have a better idea of what is left to buy before the little one gets here!

LOL!!!! While my SIL is giving us her crib (need a new mattress) and bassinet (and I need to make sure I can get a mattress for that), we need to buy every other piece of furniture for the nursery except for the glider, which is on order.
And since my SIL has two boys, she's also giving us all her baby clothes... so no need to get that. But we pretty much have to buy everything since I'm not having a shower (stupid Jewish superstitions) and I'm not counting on family/friends to get stuff for us (like my MIL says).

I feel so bad. I am so annoyed and over being pregnant. YIKES. I am so hot and sweaty and running out of clothes that fit. I have been getting sick every morning & I feel like its payback for not getting sick earlier in my pregnancy.
QOTD: I still dont have a travel system, pack & play, and still need a few onsies and receiving blankets. My shower is THIS WEEKEND & I am so dreading it. My mom is hosting it and found out last minute that she had to teach at her church for vacation bible school this week. So she is not going to be able to buy any of the food until Friday & now I have to help do everything. I am stressed about it. I had not planned on being a part of it at all and we already have been working in the house to get ready for the company that is coming in for the weekend. I did finish making the DIY mobile last night and the letters for his name now DH just needs to hang them up.
Sorry this has turned into a vent...so I'll stop

No def no TV in the nursery.
We still have a lot to get, but my shower is next weekend (06/27). So the weekend after the shower, I hope to go get everything else we need, just so I can have it done and not worry about it anymore.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting uncomfortable. I can't believe I have 6 1/2 more weeks to go. I certainly don't want him to come too early, but I am definitely getting ready for him to be here.

We have most of the high ticket items purchased already. Our shower will be this weekend so after then we will have a better idea as to what else we might need.
Baby is very active, I however, am not. I am totally exhausted, I have not been sleeping very well this week. I had a doctor's appointment Monday, little girl was measuring ahead at 34 cm. I also had a non-stress test and she earned an A+ and passed within the first 5 minutes! We still have not decided on a name.
QOTD: LOTS! But my showers are June 27, July 4 and July 5, so we won't be buying anything until after they happen.
Yesterday we walked through Walmart and DH saw the removable adhesive Disney 'Cars' border and stickups... he got a little excited. It was so cute!
Monday QOTD - Definitely no TV in the baby's room for us - over-stimulation in a place that's supposed to be calm and relaxing, IMO.
Wednesday QOTD - We still have all the small things to buy - Boppy, some clothes, blankets, burp cloths, etc. etc. It all adds up though - we figure we still have about $700+ to spend before this LO arrives. And no shower planned either - all my good friends/family are in the UK or California...we're in Illinois.
Spent the night getting beaten up by the babs - I actually feel bruised on my left side now! Generally feeling uncomfortable and getting more tired by the day. Am thinking of packing in my job in the next few weeks and becoming SAH a little early!

Almost everything is still needed. but no shower yet. It will be a surprise so I dont know when it is, hopeing sometime early to mid July. So at that point I can get everything else. We are ordering furniture this week and started getting the nursery clear. So now its the waiting game. DH doesnt want to buy anything yet becuase he wants to wait to see what we get first!
i haven't posted on the check-in for ages. oops!
to-gets include the bedding (it's ordered but hasn't shipped yet, and that's driving me nuts!), glider, and some orginzational stuff for the nursery. other than that we have the stuff to get started!
I am new to this post but would like to have my name added.
My husband and I are expecting a little boy on August 16th. We will be married for exactly a 1 1/2 that day!
We have nothing yet for the baby yet except a swing and a few blankets. My shower is June 28th and I am hoping to get some much needed items. My husband and I just had our offer accepted on a home (we are in a 1 bed apartment right now) and hope to close before July 15th. It is kind of nerve racking for me since my whole "nesting instinct" has set in and nothing is ready. I am jealous of everyone who has their nurseries ready!
So far I have had an "easy" pregnancy. (although I don't think there is such a thing.) I am starting to feel uncomfortable and have a hard time sleeping for more than an hour or two without waking up. But that is to be expected.
We already had our shower.
We have to buy the crib, changing table, a Baby Bjorn, and a high chair.
We are going to get the crib and changing table tomorrow night (I am pretty sure) and get her room all set!!
