No she doesn't need to eat every 2 hours!!

My DH is going to drive me crazy. He insists that DD needs to have a bottle every two hours. She is nine months old and I can get her to go for at least four hours when I watch her during the day. If I tell him she ate at three at its now five he then feeds her and she is not acting hungry. I can't tell him taht or he gets mad. WWYD?

Ugh!  DH is the same way.  I'm with her all day, I know her cues.  He's with her for 5 minutes and is all crazy if I'm not feeding her or doing something he thinks needs to happen.  He makes me nuts. 

I'm not sure what the solution is.  Maybe ask your DH if he wants his daughter to have weight issues when she gets older because if he's conditioning her now to always feel full, she'll continue that through her toddler/pre-school years.  My sister overfed my niece and now she's off the charts with her weight at 6 yo.  Not saying it will definitely happen but maybe that would scare him into not feeling the need to feed her all the time.

Call your pedi and have him explain "overfeeding" and its consequences to your husband. GL

Would going to a website or reading a baby book help?  Because every book and website will tell you that babies can go longer between bottles as they get older.  Or ask your pedi to give you a written schedule for him to follow.  Overfeeding is not something you want to get in the habit of!

what??? DS isn't quite 6mo yet amd has been every 4+ hrs for 2 or 3 months now!!!

and he was every 3 hrs since 4 weeks old- and I was EBF at the time!
