Though it seems like you weren't looking for opinions on variation or willing to add a MN in your earlier post, there are other way to honor ones family.
I was very close to my grandma who passes recently and though I *like* her name, DH doesnt and honestly, it's still a little too fresh of a wound you know? We are naming her after my Grandmas favorite flower.
Sometimes you just have to get creative to find a name that everyone will agree on and will give the child it's own identity (and story). GL
