Are you a professional photographer? Your pics are always awesome!! What type of camera do you have? I have a Nikon D40 and my pics look no different then something I would take with a cheap-o camera. Granted I do keep it on the auto setting b/c well I really don't know how to use the darn thing. Any tips would be great. DS and I are headed back to the beach tomorrow w/out DH and I really wanted to get some good shots of DS on the beach for DH for Fathers Day.

I also have the Nikon D40.  I have been studying photography for about 2.5 years now.  Of course there is a lot that goes into a photo, but my biggest advice to you would be to first learn everything you can about light and exposure and ISO, aperture, and shutter speed, and how they work together.
