1st Birthday Presents?

Ruby's is turning one next month and I have no idea what to get her! What have you done, or do you plan to do for your wee ones first birthday?

PS. I happened to see this cake when I googled first birthday ideas! Is is fate? haha

That's a really cute cake and so funny that is has Ruby's name on it!  We got C a ride on toy but with it being summer time you could do an outdoor toy like a slide or water table.

we went a little nuts lol: ?laugh and learn kitchen, bounce and spin zebra, a kids keyboard, fp lawnmower. ?My family really went nuts...it was like christmas lol?

Robbie got a box of blocks. And technically his sing along stage, though we gave him that early.

I think my nephews favorite things he got when he turned 1 last year were the sit and spin zebra and his water table.  He still uses both of them now.

Second...I agree with the water table suggestion. ?Although it was originally Claire's, Keira loves playing with it. She uses it every day now that the weather is warmer. ?

Keira's other favorite toy right now is the Laugh and Learn Learning Home. ?It's a little pricy, but it keeps her occupied nicely. ?Even our PT uses it during her sessions because there are so many things to do on it for both sitting and standing positions.

1st birthday is a long ways away, but I did get him a little lawnmower that blows bubble :-)

We got DS a fish tank.  He still loves it.  My mom got him a radio flyer wagon which he also loved.

We got Ryan a water table and he LOVES it.  It actually had a side for sand but we just filled the whole thing with water this year bc he is still very oral and I did not want him eating sand.  I made sure to get one with an umbrella and am so happy I did.

We also thought about a wagon and a few people sugg. that when I asked on here before Ryan's bday.  We almost did a swing set too but decided to wait til he is older on that.  

From fam he got lots of clothes, a lawn mower, stacking rings, a bubble blower, books, new sippy cups, and a sprinkler.  Trica sugg the sing along stage and I have to tell you that this is Ryan's favorite toy!  He got it from Santa and he plays with it all day every day.  He is now starting to really get into the songs (he claps on "if you're happy and you know it..")

We got DS the Step2 Push Buggy and he absolutely LOVES it. We live on a cul-de-sac and we literally ride around in circles for an hour at a time. He holds onto the wheel and pushes the horn.

My IL's got him a pool with a canopy for this summer and a bubble blower and he loves both of those as well.

Other than that we asked guests to make a donation to the MOD if they felt the need to do anything because the last thing he needs is more toys....especially those of the electronic variety. I want to throw our Crawl and Cruise Musical Jungle out the window! While in the hospital last week on bedrest I found myself singing, "Elephants go out to play...in the jungle for the day." So sad.....

OH! ?My MIL got Keira the cutest little pool. ?(The one she was sharing with Claire was a little too deep and I had to have a constant hand on her while she sat in it). ?Here's the one she uses now. ?It's the perfect size for a baby/one year old, perfect depth, comes with the cutest inflatable toys, the stingray on top provides a little bit of shade, and the colors make for beautiful "baby in the pool" photos!

Great cake! ?We just had Sam's party and we got him Little Tykes 3 in ?Trike. ?It grows with the baby/toddler and was recommended by our OT. ?He also got a Radio Flyer wagon which is AWESOME with all of its compartments, harness, and such, a blow up pool, clothes, a bath book, other books, a little car that he can ride in when he's a bit older, and other noise making toys. :-) ?He mostly loved eating his cards and playing with the wrapping paper. :-)?

Hi!! We're not really getting him anything since we're throwing this enormous party ($$$) and he will likely get a ton of presents. My dad is getting one of those convertible cars that you can push or pull (baby sits inside). I would have bought that if no one else did.  I did get him a u/v tent for the beach/outside days (we went to the beach Sunday and he wouldn't sleep b/c the sun was too bright). And I got a plastic rocking horse (indoor/outdoor) off Craig's List. I may buy a few more things but not until after the party.

We got Lily a cedar playhouse for outside, but aren't going to put it up until next summer when she will really enjoy it. Some other things that she got that she is really liking: stroller for her babies, anything Little People she got a house and a school bus and we just got her some yard toys for her house - she just loves playing with them, she also got some cookware that she likes playing with too.

We have that pool too! It comes with all these cool toys that we also play with inside. You can also put balls in it and make it an indoor ball pit. On amazon, they have pictures of babies in the pool, on the beach (so they keep cool and have shade).
