DH and I went to the endocrinologist yesterday. We came home and opened a bottle of wine after the news. Boy do I have a H/A today.. We are taking this month off since he had these appointments and i have pending surgery at the end of month.
So for the good news..only 5% chance he has a pituitary tumor. (His FSH levels, Prolactin and LH did not indicate a tumor). We are retaking the testosterone level. Seems his 76 on a random test is just that. This is totally normal in men. Apparently their Testosterone has peaks and valleys throughout the day and month. SO it is not abnormal until 3 levels are low. YAY. He goes today for another one. and tommorrow for another one.
Then based on that he will be put on FSH injections (gonal-F??? not sure) to stimulate the production...and Testosterone cream on his arm to increase that level (SIde effect of that one is increased sex drive...YAY YAY YAY)
I know this is a long post but wanted to share the good-ish news and maybe help someone else in my same situation...
Have a great day!
Re: some good news in a storm of bad
Baze,
What a huge relief!
I hope good news continues to come your way.
That's great news! I hope this next test of his is going to come back in the normal range.
So happy for good news! Now good luck with the surgery!
