Ultra pasteurized milk

in 1st Trimester

DH and I bought some Chocolate milk over the weekend.  While drinking some this morning I noticed that its ultra pasturized ..  Is it safe while pregnant?  I have read on line and got mixed reviews.

    Ultra pasteurized should be safer if anything.  There are three different ways of pasteurizing milk, which I won't go into, but UHT (ultra high temp, which is what you have) kills the most.  They use it almost everywhere else in the world.  It creates some 'cooked' flavors, so Americans don't prefer it.  Since we're closer to the source of our dairy, and can tolerate a shorter shelf life, we tend to pasteurize less.

    No, not at all.  I guess what I'm saying is, compared to regular milk, this has less bacteria and more flavor.

    I love milk... I never used to drink it but lately I can chug right out of the container... I got caught the other night ;o)

    It was quiet delicious...need to go by somemore now.  I have been wanting chocolate milk so bad compared to regular milk which i don't drink.
