Does anyone use a recliner instead of glider?

Just curious...DH mentioned getting a regular recliner for the nursery instead of a glider b/c they seem so much more comfy. Has anyone done this? Is it practical/comfy for nursing? It just seems like it would be nice for nights that the baby won't sleep, and later for reading stories, etc. Thanks!

  • Yep, and I love it!
  • I do!!! I love it so much better! I have a huge over stuffed recliner and I wouldn't tradde it for a new glider ever! lol

  • The recliner would have come in handy X 1000 than our rocking chair did.  I was actually just telling my DH that if we had a do over, we should have gotten a recliner.  DS hates being rocked while I'm sitting, always have to stand.

  • That's what we did. Instead of spending $500 on a glider that matched the nursery and would eventually not be used we got a Lazboy with heat and massage. It's in our living room and we love it!

We already had a recliner that matched our nursery decor, so we just used that.  It works great!
