Tips for camping with a toddler??

My DH, son, and some friends and I are going camping Fri-Sun. ?We will be by the river so we have floats and everything for swimming. ?We've got smores stuff ready to go and light up type toys for night time. ?What are some other fun activities for a 2 1/2 year old on a camping trip? ?Also, we will be going grocery shopping for the trip. ?We have the main meals planned out but I also want to take lots of refreshing types of snacks to eat like watermelon and more. ?Is it better to take whole fruit or cut it up prior? I'm just concerned about it staying cool and fresh cause we will be out there for 2 days. ?Any snack recs? ?What worked for you? ?And if you could share ANY camping tips with me that made things run a little smoother for you while being outdoors for a couple of days. ?Thanks!

  • xanax. for you not him.
  • relax alot of the rules you have home and bring the fruit whole...cut up fruit tends to spoil much faster.  Bring lots of clothes for your toddler and just let 'em get dirty.  Bring tons of baby wipes for quick clean ups.

  • Um, don't?

He he.  We are going camping this weekend too and will be leaving the LOs with the grandparents.

I'd say preparation is key.  Have shovels and buckets for the sand, wet wipes and washclothes for cleaning up, sunscreen and snacks galore, and be ready to evacuate if it doesn't work out!  Good luck!
