Help finding a hotel

I'm not very familiar with Chicago and I'm looking to book DH a hotel room for a cubs game. Which area would be closest? Millennium Park, Lincoln Park or North Michigan Ave-River North Area? From what I can tell N. Michigan/River North, can anyone confirm this for me. TIA!

Re: Help finding a hotel

  • Michigan Ave area is closer to transportation and small hotels are everywhere. Look at the Whitehall on Delaware or the W on Lakeshore. There are a lot of smaller hotels in the Gold Coast. Its actually easier to stay there because the easiest way to get to Wrigley is to take the L.  ( train ) there is an L at Chicago and State and at Division and Clark that will let him off right at Wrigley. He should not rent a car or take a cab to the games. Cub trafffic is horrific.
