My DD's lovey....

is/are nasty dirty (we have 2). I wash them daily. She carries them around in her mouth. She is almost 2. We are having another baby in November. Any opinions on a good time to ween from a lovey? Personal experiences?

To be honest, I wouldn't get rid of them. They're her comfort objects and with a new baby coming, she'll certainly need them. Maybe you could transition to new blankets?

This is why I am asking!! I am torn about doing it now or well after the baby comes. I would love to buy new ones, but she got attached to loveys that are $40 bucks a pop (it was a gift).

I'd let her keep it.  I'm not sure how old your DD is, but mine will be 3 in October and still has hers.  She doesn't haul 'him' around nearly as much as she used to, but she still must have him to sleep and for various times for comfort.  Yeah, he's dirty and has seen better days, but it's okay.
