So I think my BF and I have finally agreed that we may want to name our baby girl a boy name....now we just have to pick one...anyone have suggestions?
Yeah, why? I get it if there is a special name to you that could work as a girls name and you want to use it. But to pick a boys name JUST to pick one? I don't really understand, to be honest.

I think boy names for girls are cute. I like Alex, Riley, Charlie, Morgan, all sorts. You can look up gender neutral names on a lot of websites. I totally get you )
I like boys' names for girl. I think it's a cute idea. There are lots of names you could use. I was named after my grandfather's middle name (which he went by more than his first) so I always assumed my name was a boys' name and wanted the same for my daughter. My mom just changed the spelling to make it more feminine. That's what we're doing for our daughter's name. Harley is DH's grandfather's name so we're spelling it Harli.

Why would you want to do that? It's one thing to like a more masculine name, but to purposely choose a boy's name for your girl seems odd to me. Did you really want a boy, but are having a girl instead??? I don't get it.
One of our girls is named Hayden, DH and I love the name but he strongly did not like it for a boy so we gave it to her. We did not go out to name a girl a boy name just for fun. It's not fun really as many people assume she is a boy once they hear her name. If you really don't LOVE a certain name I would not go the boy name route just because.
As for suggestions I of course love Hayden, I also like Riley and Jayden for girls.

I guess I'm strange, but I usually just pick a unisex name and then pair it with either a masculine or feminie middle name. I did this with the others and I'm doing it with this one.
Re: Boy names for girls...
Why?
You decided you wanted to give your girl a boy name without even having a special boy name picked out... So any boy name would work?

There are some great unisex names out there.
Michael is my middle name (after my dad) and I love it! Using a common boy name is unique for a girl.
