Ear Infection or just teething?

I know Ellie has a molar tooth coming in. But she is crazy fussy. She has a temp of 99.7 and has been putting her finger in her ear. Trying to decide if I should take her in for an ear infection or just assume its the tooth.

Unless she has other symptoms, is prone to EI or the temp goes a little higher I would asssume tooth.

I took DS in for exactly the same symptoms no less than four times, and it was NEVER an ear infection. That's a lot of copays. :-)
