missed this this morning (tickets were gone within an hour):

Orange County employees, we have tickets for this weekend to bring a spouse or guest aboard a luxury spectator yacht and watch the Hoag Cup Invitational Regatta, a race among the biggest, fastest Gran Prix sailboats in the world.  The event takes place off of the beautiful sun-kissed coast of Newport Beach and will benefit Hoag Hospital.

 

With plenty of food, drinks, and commentary from a sailing expert aboard the yacht, this is sure to be a great opportunity to connect and have fun with your colleagues and guests.  In addition to the yacht spectator experience, we have the opportunity to place a very limited number of individuals on the actual (Company name here) -sponsored race boat!  No sailing experience is necessary.

ha ha ha!    Oh I see now.   I was looking for some good board drama.  Duh.    99.9% of the time work emails don't pertain to me at all and just go right into the delete file.    Who knew there'd actually be something interesting going on.
